Gloriously uncommercial and underdeveloped Bequia has just a handful of hotels. Don't let this fool you though accommodation standards are high and the selection caters to all budgets. A number of hotels on offer are situated right on the waterfront in Bequia's picturesque Port Elizabeth. Others are situated right on a beach. Which ever hotel you choose to stay at you can be guaranteed of a warm & friendly welcome. Christmas and New Years are the busiest times on Bequia so be sure to book well in advance. The summer months are the quietest but a great time to visit. Gingerbread Hotel: Located on Admiralty Bay, The Hotel is just a short walk to Port Elizabeth. Scuba, Windsurfing and Kayaking are offered on the premises, and their jetty allows you to take a water taxi to the beach and snorkeling. Each suite has a porch overlooking the sea. Accommodations include King-size beds or twin beds, private bathroom and kitchen. The restaurant and cafe are open daily. Plantation House: Plantation House consists of a former colonial residence (the Main House), surrounded by an immense, fragrant tropical garden, in close proximity with a range of splendid beaches, caressed by the clearest waters, reachable on foot or by water-taxi, a complimentary service for guests of the hotel. The Frangipani Hotel: Overlooking Admiralty Bay, this 15 room Hotel is a favorite hang out spot for the many yachties that visit Bequia.The Frangipani restaurant is well known for the Thursday night 'Jump Up' which features a delicious BBQ and Steel band playing calypso music. Creole Garden Hotel: The Creole Garden Hotel's rooms are comfortably equipped and decorated. Located above the beach, each room has splendid view over the sea and harbour, private verandah, ceiling fan, mosquito net and bath with hot water shower.Two Comfort rooms are bigger, more private and have additional a kitchenette with refrigerator.
